Today, we talked about the American dream. The typical American dream is to be rich.  In the video we watched Cheryln, said don’t let  your dreams ruin your life. So many people get caught up in there dreams that they loose focus of happiness. You can have a great job but hate it. You can have a very poor career but love what your doing.

Today, we learnt about the the nationalities and race in America. U can be an African American and  be white. A race is not  depending on your skin color. It was a very informational  lesson today. We also talked about a family tree. A typical black person cant trace their  ancestry back that far. We can’t trace it back because of slavery. Slavery destroyed our records and  separated us from our families.

Today, we continued ready “Wild “.  We talked about how to deal with grief. In the book the lady deal with grief by having sex with other men. The women have sex with 3 different men and the total of 5 days. We also talked about, how it is not good to  be married at a young age. It isn’t good because you still want to explore. It is best to get married when you are older because you experienced and don’t want to adventure.

Today, we talked about being a American and what it means. I think Americans are very cultural. Avery is called the land of the free. When the told slaves that they was free, the slaves didn’t have any liberty. We also talked about heroes . My hero is Chance the Rapper. Unlike other rappers, when Chance got some money he put it back in his city.

Today, our class was reading a book called the Wild. It was very interesting. In the book, a lady was trying to escape from everything.   I would do anything possible to start over. Starting is sometimes a good thing. It lets you get away from everything and start fresh with a new life. In the book she took a hike to get away from everything thing and she wasn’t gonna turn around.

Today, we talked a little about claim and evidence. Our class went over our test. We fixed our mistakes.   We also talked about ownership in class. We debated a lot about ownership. I described ownerships as taking full responsibility. We debated if getting tangible items change a person moral character. I think that it does change a person moral character. When people start to get money they change

Today, We read a passage name “Ambush “. The passage was about a soldier. The soldier killers a person and told his daughter. His daughter asked and he answer the question. He killed the person without even thinking about it.  He regrets killing the person. I learns that every situation has a   consequence behind it. The consequence can be mentally or physical.

Today in class , We talk about arguments. It’s is a difference between a argument and a fight.  Sometimes a arguments can lead up to a fight. The difference is you can’t win a fight but you can  win a argument. You argue everyday  of the week. You can have good arguments and bad arguments. A good argument would be  deciding where to eat at. A bad argument would be a conflict between each other.
